A new Jersey Mike’s Sub shop will be opening in Lynbrook next week.
The chain’s latest Long Island location is a 1,200-square-foot space in the Philips Plaza shopping center at 643 Sunrise Highway.
Franchise owners and brothers Kevin Monge and Chris Monge will hold a grand opening and fundraiser at their newest Jersey Mike’s from Wednesday, June 1 to Sunday, June 5 to support Lynbrook High School. Customers who receive a special fundraising coupon can make a minimum $3 contribution to Lynbrook High School in exchange for a regular sub.
“We are excited for the opportunity to be serving the Lynbrook community our freshly sliced and grilled subs,” Chris Monge said in a company statement. “As two brothers and dads running a family business, we understand how important family values are. We treat our business like our home, and our guests and team members as part of our family. We are looking forward to supporting Lynbrook High School in a fundraising campaign to raise money for them during our grand opening.”
Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $90 million for local charities. In 2022, the company’s 12th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised $20 million for the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.
Greg Batista of RIPCO Real Estate represented Jersey Mike’s, while landlord Philips International was self-represented in the Lynbrook lease transaction.
