National Compressor Exchange closed on its purchase of an industrial property in Farmingdale for $8.5 million.

Headquartered in Ridgewood, Queens, the company bought a 40,213-square-foot building on 2.68 acres at 1900 New Highway.

The property is the second purchased by National Compressor in Farmingdale. In December, the company closed on its $6.2 million acquisition of a 31,873-square-foot industrial building on 1.49 acres at 5 Dubon Court, just across the street from 1900 New Highway.

The company, which makes a wide variety of compressors, parts and related products used in HVAC systems, refrigeration and other applications, received economic incentives from the Town of Babylon Industrial Development Agency to assist in the acquisition and renovations of the two Farmingdale properties, where it plans to relocate its operations.

Ralph Perna of Schacker Realty represented the buyer, as well as the seller, Anchor Real Estate, in the New Highway sales transaction.
