Local officials joined development executives at a ribbon-cutting event Wednesday for a new Chase bank branch at the Village Square mixed-use project in Glen Cove.
Chase leased 3,945 square feet of the retail space at the Village Square complex that was developed by RXR Realty.
The residential portion of Village Square is 99 leased and occupied, according to an RXR statement. The 2.8-acre complex on Brewster Street features 146 rental apartments, a 16,500-square foot public plaza, and 15,600 square feet of retail space.
Monthly rents for a one-bedroom apartment at Village Square start at about $3,800.
Amenities at Village Square include a courtyard with outdoor grills, a terrace with fire pits, club room, library, children’s playroom, fitness center and conference room.
“We are pleased at the success within the retail spaces at Village Square, especially with the recent addition of Chase, which continues to add to the renaissance of downtown Glen Cove,” Joe Graziose, executive vice president for Residential Development and Construction at RXR, said in the statement. “Chase will be a valued amenity for the residents of Village Square and Garvies Point, as well as all Glen Cove residents.”
Andrew Simone, regional director for Chase on Long Island, said he is thrilled to be part of Village Square and the Glen Cove community.
“This branch will offer customized financial solutions to help people make the most of their money,” Simone said in the statement. “We are going to be engaged in the community and collaborating with our neighbors to create an even brighter future here in Long Island.”
Clifford Molloy of Savills represented Chase, while Dan Glazer and Jason Sobel of RIPCO Real Estate represented RXR in the lease transaction.
